There is to much smoking in Germany.

In Ontario, restaurants may no longer have a smoking section. In most of North America, some restaurants will have a smoking section. In Germany, restaurants seem to be all smoking section -- every table has an ashtray on it. People smoke before they get their menus, after ordering, between soup and the meal, between the meal and dessert, and after dessert while drinking their coffee. Ugh.

And, while British food has a reputation for being boring and plain -- German food isn't all that much better. And, at least in Britain you can usually find a few good Indian restaurants pretty easily.

So, I've got a free weekend in Hanover, Germany. What to do?

I've never been to Denmark, so driving to Denmark is a thought.
Or, I might visit Berlin, and see the wall. Autobahn or ubahn?
If I was in Filderstadt, I might drive to Grenoble, but that's too far from here.
So are the Alps. So, skiing doesn't look like an option.
Maybe Poland and/or the Czech republic?
Stay in Hanover and rest?

Dunno.
