Reading more
Dec. 23rd, 2005 04:34 pmLast New Year's, leolac made a resolution to read 100 books over the course of the year. (And she has succeeded.) In looking at this, and looking at the fact that I'm not reading as many books as I used to, I thought I'd make a similar commitment to reading. But, I subscribe to the Economist, and read it cover to cover, weekly, and I don't want to give up reading it or reading it on a relatively timely basis. So, I'm going to consider my weekly economist to be the equivalent of a book, and try to get 50 books [edit] in addition to the Economist [/edit] read in the upcoming year. (Too bad I won't be able to count the several books I'll get read this week... today I've already read on, Ethics Without Ontology [by Hilary Putnam], and have started on [edit] and finished before bed[/edit] a second.)
