New online game store
Aug. 20th, 2009 06:26 pmA friend of mine is opening an online game store here in Ottawa.
His site: http://www.hitboardgames.com
If you're local, game delivery may end up being free -- he may be able to drop it off, or I may use it as an excuse to go out and visit him.
I hope he does well.

Date: 2009-08-21 05:10 pm (UTC)To find game-by-title I just used the "search". That works if you know the title, though, but if you almost know... but don't quite get the spelling right, I don't know what happens.

You can of course search by title if you know the name of the game.
(upper left of the screen), if you missed it then I will have to look at where to put it.
I had trouble with some of the categories for some of the games to be honest.
Theoretically of course (I just tried it) you can go to the advanced search and limit your options to just the boardgames and see an alphabetical listing of all the non boardgames (by setting the max price to something really high). Probably a nuisance for most people to figure out though.
There are definitely going to be some improvements to make to the site for things like that.
Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming!

Date: 2009-08-21 06:03 pm (UTC)I'll try the advanced search, thanks. The reason I like a list is for the games where I would recognize the title if I saw it in print, but can't quite remember it well enough to search by title outright.
Neat idea for a business btw. One can never have too many options for buying games. 8D
