Confusion plans, encore

Gotta love customers...

So, the current configuration of my plans...given that the customer issues the P.O. for training for the week after 'fusion, and given they get their installs done, so the class can go ahead...

Thursday, Jan 20th, fly to Detroit. Stay with elizilla. [edit stupidity out]
Friday, help rmeidaking with green room shopping and setup.
Friday-Sunday con.
Sunday afternoon fly to Springfield, MO then drive to Monett, MO. (Monett does not have much of an airport. )
Mon-Fri Jan 24-28th, teach in Monett.
Saturday, 29th, fly back to Ottawa. Have dinner with parents, sister, and meet my new niece.
Mon-Fry Jan 31- Feb 4th, teach in Ottawa.

Part of the reason I decided against the drive to/from Michigan was the 2 by 5-day weeks of training -- I didn't want to add 18+ hours of driving onto that.

Of course, if the customer training in Monett falls through, or gets delayed, I'm back to my drive to Michigan plans. And, I probably won't know for sure until mid-next-weekish. *sigh*

This is elizilla. My LJ login is one of the ones that is still broken from their system failure. :-(

I would not miss ConFusion! In fact for a number of years now I have requested the Friday before ConFusion as vacation, a full year in advance. It's Penguicon where I got confused about the dates and created a schedule conflict for myself.

You are most welcome here on Thursday and since I have Friday off it will be an easy morning on Friday.

If you need me to pick you up from the airport and bring you to the convention and all, I can easily do that. Let me know!

Thanks for the offer of the ride. I had been thinking to rent a car, but getting lifts would save a fair bit of money.

I've volunteered to help rmeidaking with Green room shopping & setup on Friday -- but, if my knowledge of SE-Michigan is correct, I think your place is kinda on the way to the convention for her -- so that may work out, too.

It's just Thursday I think I'm arriving around noonish, which would be during your working hours.

I can go to the airport at lunch, it's only 20 minutes away. You could call me when you land, and I can be there by the time you get your bags and are ready to come outside.
