Classic Games
Jul. 22nd, 2004 03:09 pmWhile I was in California, I went to Mecca, that is, to Fry's Electronics.
While I was there, I picked up a few classic strategy games -- mostly in multi-game boxed sets. (Which means I did get a couple games I wasn't really looking for, like Risk II.) What I did get were:
Europa Unversalis
Patrician II
Civilisation II
Age of Empires
Majesty
I'm currently learning how to play Europa Universalis.

Date: 2004-07-24 11:46 am (UTC)EU came as release 1.07c when I got it -- so pretty late in the patches. I'd already updated to 1.10 (which is the latest around), but thanks for the recommendation.
I didn't know I should ignore the manuals...but I did find the EU manual was a nice discussion of how they were simulating stuff, but not very good about how to use the interface/play the game itself.
Thanks for the offer on EU2 an HoI. I may ask in the future -- but I'm ok with what I have right now.
