Mustn't forget the journey home...
Apr. 21st, 2004 12:35 amWhen we last heard from our protaganist, he had been to a convention...
I left the convention with, or actually, right behind,
jeffreyab and followed him all the way home. Well, we stopped for dinner and a couple errands in Port Huron on the way to Sarnia. Got up the next morning, and made my way to Waterloo, surprising
corbet by calling her from the Timmys at Phillip & Albert (since her email had said that was close to her work) rather than somewhere in southern Kitchener near the 401 as she was expecting. She hadn't know that I'd spent my own time at UW in the past. So, picked her up for lunch around 11:30am, and went over to Eastside Marios, to be close to campus. A tired looking, working horribly long shifts (with more to come)
icedrake joined us around 12:15pm. Corbet and I at lightly of lunch, and icedrake had desert and, of course, more cafeine. I finally got corbet back to work for about 1:30pm, and dearly hope she had no bossly issues about the long lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the lunch, and was glad I made the side trip.
It was a very windy day, and I had a tail wind all the way along the 401, blowing up to strong enough that I had to lean into the wind to walk back to my car at one point. Mostly, though, no precipation, for which I was glad. This could easily have been a dump enough water on the world to slow everything to a crawl type storm.
Still wish I'd had my motorcycle to ride.
