From mycrazyhair and srfsports and many others. I've tried, and tried, to resist...but I've finally succumbed.
It won't be that long a list, since I haven't actually picked up a lot of nick names.

If you call me David, you're most of the world.
If you call me Dave, you didn't listen when I introduced myself as David.
If you call me Superdave, you knew me in first-year res at U. Waterloo.
If you call me Davy, you're the parent of a childhood friend.
If you call me Dagrim, you've met me through online gaming.
If you call me Seigen, you met me in the Ronin guild of Canon.
If you call me Mr Gibbs, you're a telemarketer (and I think you're asking for my father).
If you call me Bunny, you're my partner, D.

Ottawa David?
Gibbs?
D'Gibbs as D'Weil?

Ottawa David not so much as Motorcycle David, or sometimes long-haired David.

But, those are not so much nicknames as qualifiers. As in "David said ..." - "Which David?" - "Oh, Ottawa David".

Or, to put it another way, people would refer to me with those, but they wouldn't address me with those, and I was thinking of the "if you call me xxx" as "if you address me as xxx when speaking to me".

I do think you need to add Gibbs though. I've certainly called you that. "I wonder if Gibbs will make it in for ConClave this year?" Interestingly, I don't think I'd call you Gibbs if I were with you, but that's how I often refer to you when you're not around.

Hm... that goes back to the intention...I know you, and Benet, and sometimes Kim, and a few others referred to me as "Gibbs" as well. But, I took this to mean how someone would address me if speaking to me, rather than when referring to me. (Then, I'd have things like "that traning guy from QNX", or "the bastard", etc.)

I would agree with Tammy that we use those names alot when you are not around.

Due to the Weil situation I still sometimes call you Dave.
