The travel, it never stops...

Sunday Jan 7th I flew home from 12 days in Mexico.
This Sunday, Jan 14th I fly to Minnesota (work).
I fly home via Michigan for Confusion the weekend of Jan 20-21.
Then on January 26th, I fly to South Korea for a few days of business.
Home again on February 1st.
Then more travel in February is looking likely.

How does your work handle the detour on the way home? Do they cover the ticket to Michigan only both halves of the journey home?

I don't think the gov't would be able to figure it out. One would have to come home to then fly out to the Con under one's own bill.

They seem to ignore it. My travel is, technically, funded by our customers, we add an "expenses" amount on to our charge for training, as long as my actual expenses don't exceed this amount, and aren't unreasonable, they aren't examined overly closely. So, they're covering all the ticket -- but I'm covering the hotel & car in Detroit.
