"Info changed" emails are helpful. I received one from Aeroplan, logged in (luckily password not changed yet), found my email address had been redirected to somewhere in .ru. Nope, not me. The phone was wrong, too -- don't know if that was changed or not (was close enough, could have been typo by me, last all correct except last digit -- 9445 rather than 9443). So, I changed password and reset other security stuff as well.

Better that I noticed than not. But, yeah, even better to not have been attacked at all.

Also, only max 10-character password, only alpha-numeric, no special characters. Seriously Air Canada/Aeroplan?

It's handy that they hadn't changed your password.

Yeah, though oddly they did manage to get the password changed after I changed it. Not sure how after my password change, but I managed a password recovery & another password change. Air Canada/Aeroplan (they share login & password information) does not allow for particularly strong passwords: max 10 characters, alpha-numerics, no special characters.

Yikes! Those emails are helpful. It's be scary to get one like that though, when you hadn't recently made a change.

(If I was going to hack anyone's Aeroplan though, it'd be yours. :P)
