I planned to go climbing at the upper cliffs section of Lac Sam climbing, and had 4 people along with me (Kate, Sophie, Mike, Daniel). But, when we got close we found the road in (about 4.5km) had not been plowed over the winter, and was completely impassable. Oops.

So, we decided to go to 5.Superfunwall. The approach involved a bunch of snow, muck, water, and bushwhacking. Then we found that (of course) the cliff was soaking wet. But not just soaking wet, but also with major ice still on it. We still managed to climb one route, though.

Of course, that wasn't enough, so there's this small cliff near the road before Lac Epinette that I've looked at a few times, but not yet climbed. It looked too small to be worth a lot of bother -- though it turns out to be surprisingly tall, probably a bit over 20m. We hiked to the top, and dropped a couple top-ropes, then rappelled down. (Sophie's first ever rappel.) We found the first 5m or so of climbing to be very hard, then the rest to be easier and fun. It was, also, mossy, dirty, and wet in places, too.

So, definitely, more adventure than planned.

I'm not surprised that the ground hasn't caught up with the air yet. I'm glad you had a good time even so!
