Epic Game Boxing Day

I'm hoping to collect a group of people to play an epic game on Boxing day -- something long enough that it would not normally come out for a regular games day. Pre-committed players & game, likely starting at 11am. Thoughts include, but are not limited to: Advanced Civilization, 1830 or other 18xx, Struggle of Empires, Roads and Boats, and Die Macher.


For people playing the epic game, I'd like a commitment to arrive on time, and for the length of time needed. I expect to also have the house open for drop-in gaming for others who would like to game, but don't have the time, interest, or availability for something epic.

Depending on the game we end up choosing, I could be talked into noon. I'm just trying to prevent too late of a finish in case we end up in something truly epic.

I am interested, game depending. An 18xx game would be good (or through the ages if only 3 people). For other options I would want to take a quick look at what they are on BGG before deciding.

I do not have the attention span or endurance for epic-gameness, but I might come by for more snack-sized gaming and/or knitting and socializing. :)

There are definitely others playing non-epic games going to be around. Or, at least, I've had communications from others saying they would be around.

Also, social and knitting good, too. And HUGS. Cause I haven't seen (or hugged) you in way too long!
