Small group, lots of games
Nov. 29th, 2015 12:45 amIt was a smallish group for games today -- one table -- but a lot of good games were played.
We warmed up with Oraklos. Then played Gonzaga (ironphoenix by 1 pt over me), followed by San Marco. At this point we broke for dinner, heading to Koreana.
After dinner, we went (moderately) old school with Puerto Rico. Then, three games of moderately tipsy TransEuropa to round out the evening.
In attendance were ironphoenix, Stephen, fairestcat and me at the start. Stephen left after Gonzaga. beable joined shortly before dinner time, and Paul showed up to say hello, but timed poorly for gaming or dinner as he'd already eaten, so wandered off again. After dinner, ironphoenix stayed for Puerto Rico then headed out, while the remaining three of us (beable, fairestcat, me) played the three tipsy-to-drunk games of TransEuropa.
Between the all of us, we went finished an already-open (but mostly full) bottle of port, as well as opening & killing a second bottle. Plus, of course, a bunch of rum as well -- playing Puerto Rico, so rum seemed the natural drink to some of us. :)
Definitely a good afternoon and evening of gaming -- with fun had by all.
And, special thanks to fairestcat for yummy samosas. :)
