I'm hosting board-games this Friday (February 6th) starting at 7pm, onwards. Anyone interested?

Going to Step Sprightly, but have fun!

You could step sprightly through the snow from your place to mine for gaming!

I'll be on the 401 heading past Toronto to Brantford. The actual sprightly stepping isn't till Saturday, in Mississauga.

In that case, just delay your departure... game at my place... we could play Antiquity until about 5am, then hop in your car and drive to Toronto -- should get you there in lots of time for a Saturday event. And, I'll bet you would have minimal traffic leaving Ottawa at that time, too, make the drive go more smoothly. A win-win-win situation!

I will share your practical solution with D (who values actual sleep if she wants to minimize fibro pain enough to enjoy dancing), J (who values getting to Brantford Fri. night to snuggle w/ his sadly Michigan-based boyfriend) , and [livejournal.com profile] vesta_venus (who probably values sanity and sleep as well, but you never know).

I'm sure they will all agree that this is an optimal solution.

Hm... that is a problem... Antiquity only plays up to 4 people, and they'd make 5. I guess we'll have to go with 1830, in this case. Then they can all play until 5am -- optimal solution once again achieved.

Or Imperial!

While a good 5-player game, I don't think it would actually last long enough. We'd have to play more than one game of Imperial.

This thread amuses me greatly. I too will be at Step Sprightly. Assuming my back ever decides to let me walk again after this morning's physio.

I hope your back will let you walk again, and dance as well.

I'm walking again now, albeit hesitantly, after an emergency extra physio session yesterday.

I'll be in the dance band rather than trying to dance, so should hopefully be ok. :)

In that case, I hope that playing goes well. And the car trip down there, too.

The car trip is the real risk, but we'll be taking the van with the heated seats which should help.

I doubt it... Friday evenings are sword time. (It's a fantastic way to get some mental distance from the work week!)

It does sounds like a great post-work-week activity.
