Another busy, but good weekend...
Jan. 26th, 2015 12:07 amFriday evening I cooked dinner for Jex, then we ate in front of the fire, followed by hot cocoa, snuggling, and reading in front of the fire. A lovely evening.
Saturday, I made it to Acro-yoga at Carleton U with Amelia (and many others), where I knocked a bit of my rust off, and generally enjoyed it. Afterwards we went to Costco, where I bought some food, and she and I bought way-too-much ham. Then, it was ilanikhan's housewarming party in the evening. Also, I put the ham-bone in the slow cooker with some water.
Sunday, I hosted board-gaming. I ended up with 3 people (Rob, Megan, me) arriving around 1pm, so we played San Juan until 2pm when more ironphoenix arrived. We started a game of Russian Railroads at that point. Kat arrived around 4pm, and random and rottenfruit showed up shortly after -- so they played, I think, Dominion. Their game, and ours, finished around 5-5:30pm. random and rottenfruit headed out, but Lyne showed up, so we had 6 for dinner. We went to So Good, because Kat was vegetarian and most of us were interested in Chinese food. After dinner, ironphoenix left and random returned, this time with fairestcat. We split into two games -- Rob with random and fairestcat for Power Grid, and the rest of us for a game of Leonardo da Vinci. _niall showed up just as the gaming was breaking up to collect a chocolate bar, have a drink, and social a bit.
After people left, I did a bit more acro-yoga with Amelia, then added some yellow split peas, chopped onion, garlic, and celery, and some more water to the ham bone in the slow cooker. Tomorrow I may have soup. We'll see.
Laundry spent the whole weekend on the to-do list. Oh well.
