dagibbsLost two of my expected 4 players for Antiquity, so played 2-player with Kim. A good game, we both completed victory conditions on the same turn (me, 3 conditions with Santa Maria (Santa Barbara, San Nicolo, and San Giorgio), and with the expansion from San Giorgio, the tie-break wasn't even close. We played with with famine, but not the pollution phase. (The rules suggest playing without either for an introductory game, but we thought this was enough.)
metawidget, arndis, and tchang, Paul, and Amelia also were around for the afternoon, and played a variety of games.
After dinner, Kim and I played a couple games of Samurai. Then beable and Keven showed up, and we played a game of Steel Driver -- which had a close finish with me pipping Kim by $1 (with the other two both within about $10.)
It was a good day of gaming, and I definitely want to play Antiquity again. I think I understand it well enough to explain it, too, for a regular gaming session.
