I am planning to host boardgames this Saturday, December 7th, at my place. The usual plan -- start at 1pm, continue with a dinner break into the evening.

I'm particularly interested in getting a long game to the table. Possibly another play of 1830, Struggle of Empires, or Antiquity; or maybe Britannia or Roads and Boats. (I've not played Struggle of Empires, or Antiquity. Both would be a learning process.)

Anyone interested in gaming? Anyone interested in one (or some) of the longer games?

I didn't want any LJers suffering a lack of info given their dedication to the better medium.

Probably, at this point; to confirm closer to the day.

Brittania doesn't appeal to me, but other games do. I could also bring High Frontier if you like; note that this is a game with a very high analysis coefficient.

Lack of interest in Britannia noted.

As I mentioned on FB when someone offered to bring Civ, I'm trying to get a few of MY lesser- or not-yet-played games to the table. I've got enough of those that I don't think I need extras to choose from. :)

Though, if you brought it, I'd be up for borrowing it to read through the rules and such, so that when you do want to bring it to the table, a couple of us have read them.

A good choice with the current number of interested participants. But if we push beyond 4, we'll have to look at a different choice.

I've decided to go with Antiquity... con_girl posted a link to the rules up-thread, in case you'd like to (and would have a chance to) read them in advance.

I may very well attend. If I do so, I am eager to dive into Antiquity.

I currently have 4 players for Antiquity, with a backup. There are likely to be other players around, though, for other games.

Other games would also be good if I can make it. :)
