Slinkies

leolac's German first encountered slinkies about 4 days ago, with a baby one. Somehow, in the intervening days, he has acquired a full-size one. It is currently going zing-clunk-zing-clunk-zing-clunk down the stairs, with great cries of glee and "it verks" emanating from upstairs.

We have a plastic slinky at home that we use to taunt Phoebe (our young chocolate-point Siamese kitty) to keep her busy while one of us is on the phone.

It actually doesn't work on stairs. But hey, it's useful for something!
