I'm done for my week in Waterloo. We've finished the training for the day, and I'm going to head off to the airport in a few minutes. The work side went well. On the evening side of things, that also went well. I got out to the local climbing gym on Monday evening, meeting someone from ontarioclimbing.com there; Tuesday I went down to Hamilton to have dinner with my sister; and Wednesday I drove to London to meet Carol for dinner there. So, I guess, a bunch of driving -- the car I have (Dodge Avenger) was ok, but definitely nowhere near my favourite.
Weekend plans have mutated a bit. I was planning on climbing in Bon Echo, but looks like the weather will be poor. In searching driveable locations with climbing, looks like either northern Vermont or New Hampshire are going to be the choices. Final planning to be done this evening with Jex.
I'm also starting to be a bit concerned about my October climbing trip to California, and in particular Yosemite. There's a big forest fire happening down there right now. I know there's another month until I leave -- but this things been burning for a couple weeks already, another month doesn't seem like that long.
