It was a long weekend for some of us here in Ontario -- family day weekend.

I got home on Friday, and had Pho with figure__it__out and marnan. Then spent much of the rest of the weekend with figure__it__out. Also got to say hello to Liv, Rob, and Ashley who were hanging out here Friday night.

Saturday was a quiet day of recovery, with a bunch of reading in front of the fire. Then tea with Ashley, who will be moving in (again) over the next week or so.

Sunday, after sleeping in, figure__it__out and I met with K8 at Coyote for a good climbing session, also climbing a bit with Glauco before he left. We had a good long session -- about 3 1/2 hours. On Sunday Karim and Yue had flown (in his plane) in to town (from KW), so we had dinner with them at the Blue Nile, then drove them back to Rockcliffe airport so they could fly home.

Monday, I went to ironphoenix's for boardgames in the afternoon -- I took a couple games, and taught everyone Hansa Teutonica (which I had recently acquired). It is a good game, and I think everyone liked it -- though it was more confrontational than many Euros out there. Then it was off to my regular (while in town) ball-room dance lesson, then home to meet with a couple more potential room-mates. (Liv is moving out end of this month, and I was talking with them before Ashley needed a place to stay. I may have all my rooms full or nominally full for a while, though Amelia is still in Thailand for an unknown period of time.) And the rest of this evening is dedicated to some of the accumulated laundry, in prep for flying to Europe on Saturday.

It was very good to see you!

Also, the game is quite interesting, and worth playing again.

Cool, I'll probably be trying to get it out.

I've also got Antiquity and Ora et Labora. Both look more... complicated than Hansa Teutonica. I think I understood the game of Antiquity on first read through, mostly, but not the complexities. For Ora et Labora, I don't think I quite put the game quite together in my head. I'll have to go back to both of them again before teaching.

I've heard good things about O&L, and would be interested in trying it sometime soon!
