I've made it to Washington-Dulles. We were delayed on the way out of Las Vegas -- apparently there was a "mechanical" issue, and apparently that was that they needed a sticker that said something was sealed. The something was sealed, but it also needed a sticker that said that, and they didn't have a sticker. At least I had a long enough stop-over here that I don't have to worry about missing my next flight.

So yes, it's sealed, but there's no proof for anyone else looking at it down the line later at other airports. It's either 45 minutes now, or 30 minutes every pre-flight check to see that it is sealed, because it's missing the sticker verifying it's sealed.

I'm an admin, and yes, I try to do my best to prevent this sort of stuff going down the line. Recently we've done three call-aheads up to the minister's office in advance of a question we knew was going to be asked, and saved probably 4 days for each of those files. (We got a few well-placed thanks for this, too.)

Yeah, makes sense. I just regret I had to sit on the plane the whole time -- couldn't they have noticed this earlier, and not boarded us and made us sit the whole time?
