dagibbs | A good weekend, if cut a bit short

Despite being cut a bit short, this has been a pretty good weekend.

Friday after work had a dance lesson, followed by a date with my sweetie. We did some cuddling in front of the fire, possibly the last fire of the season.

Saturday a bunch (Me, Mike, Celine, K8, Jessica, and Phil) went climbing out at Mont Rigaud. For her first climb of the day, Celine tried to lead a 5.9 with a somewhat tricky start, and managed to fall before clipping the first bolt, taking a groundfall onto some nasty rocks. After some assessment, and getting ice from the nearby ski resort, she figured she'd be happier resting a bit before hiking out. It looked like lots of bruises, but nothing major broken. Still, she did go to a hospital, and found that it looked like a hairline fracture of a rib, and lots and lots of swelling. (Doctor's prognosis: she can start climbing again once she doesn't have pain, probably about 4 weeks.) Celine's commentary: laughing hurts.

Saturday night was a pleasant small party.

Then, Sunday, some more time with my sweetie, including a hardware shopping expedition for crafts she wants to make.

Now, on to England...
