Only 4 days left! It was really loud here over the weekend -- apparently it was a Mexican long weekend, but things have quieted down now, back to just climbers, rather than a bunch of Mexican climbers and Mexican families out for a weekend of camping and picnicing.

One family was nice enough to share their barbecue with me last night, though. Corn on the cob, BBQ chicken and a BBQ floor taco with cheese in it. Quite good.

I got 7 pitches of climbing in today, though two were re-climbs. Also, Celine and I were joined by Kelly part way through the day, and we'll be climbing with her again tomorrow.

And it feels like this pace has settled in as ok for me -- I'm not feeling the need for a rest day after this much climbing. Though, if I do anything really long, I think I'd be up for a rest day after that.

Run for the Border (5.8/5.9) lead, then top-roped after Celine wasn't able to follow. (Dane says 5.8, Ed says 5.9.) It does involve some awkward twisty stuff, and it was making Celine's back hurt.)

El Cahcarro (5.7). Celine lead, I followed.

The Black Smith, 2 pitches. (5.9, 5.8). I lead the first pitch, Kelly lead the 2nd one.

Unnamed just right of first pitch of Black Smith (5.7?). I top-roped it, declared it 5.7, Kelly & Celine both lead it. Lower was awkward for cleaning, so I TRed it again, but taking harder variants (about 5.9ish), cleaning the draws.
