post-gaming report and gaming next Saturday

I had a good turn-out for gaming yesterday, with quite a few people arriving just about right at 2pm. Hopefully without omitting anyone, there was: rottenfruit & metawidget & little O, ilanikhan, ironphoenix, foms, arndis, Phil, tchang, xiphia, iclysdale and Liv.

In the afternoon I started setting up a game of Brass with Phil and foms, and when metawidget arrived he grabbed the fourth seat. In the evening, I played a game of Maneouvre with foms.

Also played were Zombie Ninja Pirates (rottenfruit), Saint Petersburg (ironphoenix), Ricochet Robots (tchang), TransEuropa (arndis), and King's Gate (tchang).

I will be hosting gaming again on Saturday (February 18th), and I'm going to try for a 1pm start this time. (Maybe Saturday 1pm is better than Sunday 1pm?)

Normally I'd be all over the Saturday gaming (because I often do family visit on Sunday, I'm more likely to be able to stay late on a Sat), but I am going to be in NYC this weekend.

I fail to understand the logic of having had a successful 2pm start why you are moving it back to 1 pm.

I found that 2pm as a start was a bit late for getting in more than one game before dinner. 1pm, if it works, will be better for more games.

If it turns out that, really, anything before 2pm is just too early for people, yeah, I'll go back to 2pm.

Also, the hope that 1pm Saturday might be better than 1pm Sunday.

Maybe, for a while... I preach this coming weekend, so much will depend on the progress of my writing. I currently have what I hope is 2/3 of a draft done. If I can make it, it'll be at the early end of the day, or I'll give you an ETA.

Maybe, if I get all my chores done in the morning. I'm having company for dinner, so I'll also have to bail around 4 or 4:30.
