Got 1830 to the table! w00t

It was epic. We had 5 players - me, ironphoenix (most familiar with the 18xx game system), green_ogre, foms, and niall_. Final scores: 5318 (me), 5042 (ironphoenix), 4506 (niall_), 4363 (foms) and 4254 (green_ogre). For the sort of game it is, that's a pretty close spread.

We started rules explanations about 1:30pm, play probably started around 2:15, break for dinner (about 1 hour, I think), and we finished about 11:45. So, about 8.5 hours. 4-6 hours on the box, so 8.5 for a first playing isn't too bad. Definitely a seriously long game, though.

Next: Struggle of Empires. I would like to get a few of my "heavy" games played this year. (Die Macher is on the list, too.)

I find most of the old school games run that long, like Kingmaker, Civilization and Britannia for example.
