winter is board-gaming season: Sunday 1pm

I had a lovely turn-out on Monday, don't expect as many for this Sunday, but still going to try...

I'm hosting board-games at my place, this Sunday, starting at 1pm and running into the evening.

I'd love to get 1830 onto the table, if I get 3-4 people interested in a heavy rail-building and stock-trading game there by 1:30pm.

How long a game is 1830?

I am likely - if 1830 is likely to run past 5:30 I won't be joining in for that but otherwise I'll see who is up for other stuff.

Edit uh yeah, 3-6 hrs ... I won't be in for 1830 this week (though it does sound fun!) but overall yay gaming!

I will try to attend, depending on how I feel (icky throat illness, but not contagious/bacterial). I would love to try 1830; I believe you also have one of the variants, with Canadian companies and stuff? Or is that ironphoenyx?

Yep, I have 1856 (Canada) and 1853 (India). I also have access to 2038 (the Asteroid Belt) through the Carleton U Strategy Club. (26 years to go... we'd better hurry up if we're gonna make it to commercializing asteroid mining in time!)

I definitely still have an opening. I even think I'll have enough players. I've got 3 people in so far, and maybe a 4th. Looks likely the game will go.

I figure 1830 will take more than 6 hours, if 1856 and 2038 are any indication. 1853 looks like it might be a bit faster.

I expect I'll be up for coming out and joining in the railroading... will confirm tomorrow morning.

Yeah, I don't plan on 1830 being short. It is long, which is why I was explicitly recruiting for it in the game announcement, rather than just "hoping" to get it to the table. I can save a bit of time by having it already setup when people arrive, too.
