A friend just gave me a copy of a (probably old, but the rock is still there) guide to Seneca Rocks in West Virginia. Wow. There looks to be a whole bunch of wonderful multi-pitch moderate trad routes. Now there's somewhere else I want to visit & climb.

Hm... taking a year off to climb is starting to look better and better. I wonder what my management would think of the idea?

Seneca Rocks is also an excellent area to go motorcycling.

That I believe. West Virginia has the curvy roads!

I climbed the non-climber trail up to those rocks 3 times (twice with a baby strapped on my front) and always admired the folks actually climbing the cool looking rocks. I encourage it. That whole area is lovely. I lived in WV for 3 years and miss the pretty.

I think the idea might drive your bosses up the wall!
