I like feeding people

It wasn't especially fancy, but I still like feeding people. Yesterday I fed [livejournal.com profile] sultrysong, [livejournal.com profile] mellybean71, the kid, [livejournal.com profile] leolac and the lj-less (AFAIK) room-mate BBQed hamburgers, along with grilled mushrooms, onions, and garlic. [livejournal.com profile] mellybean71 provided a salad, and [livejournal.com profile] leolac supplied cherry pie for desert. It was nice to have a few people sitting down around the table together and eating.

Then [livejournal.com profile] leolac and I went to our dance lesson. Wow... felt like the instructor really kicked things up a notch, we're starting to work a lot more intently on the proper styling and motion for some of the dances -- not just the patterns and rhythms, but the proper body positioning, details of foot position, toe-pointing, proper way to step, and how it differs from dance to dance -- is this a heel-toe walk, or is this a toe-first walk, and more. We need to remember to practice this technical stuff while we still remember the details of what to practice.

And, after we got home, a little bit of processing. A couple bits of friction we'd hit, and left for later, were dealt with reasonably smoothly. Yay.
