I went to Agora Churascaria for dinner. I think Churascaria must mean "meat, meat, and more meat". It is a Brazilian steak house -- they do have a buffet, with some hot dishes including some shell fish and a salad bar and stuff -- but that's not the point. They also have meat. You sit at your table with a little disk -- if it is showing the red side, you're generally safe. If it is showing the green side, men walk by with skewers of meat and offer you slices or chunks of the meat. Steak, steak, and more steak. Chicken, pork, sausage, lamb, and more. If you need a respite form the onslaught of meat, flip your little disk... until you're ready again.

OMG, I think I'm going to explode. Not cheap, but a lot of good cuts of meat well cooked.

Ah yes, churrasco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churrasco)... the all-you-can-eat-sushi for non-seafood types. There's a place out here in K-town that does that kind of thing, if you're interested. Also, Murray Street Kitchen (http://www.murraystreet.ca/) is a very good meatery here in town.

I might be up for another some time. But not for a while -- that was a lot of meat.

When you're ready, there are a couple of similar options nearby that might suit. We can gather the carnivores for an outing.

Sounds like an idea -- but won't be for a while for me.

There's a place like that in Toronto at Broadview and Danforth - Red Violin. But yeah, it's a once every couple year type thing, because dear gods the meat.

When we went we decided that one had to prioritize so as not to fill up on less delicious meat. Te rule of thumb was "beef, baby and bacon" - if none of those was involved, pass and wait for the next skewer.

Sounds like a good rule. And, yes, generally the beef was some of the best.

The salad bar is a temptation to get you to fill up on cheap stuff. Don't fall for it.

I know. And yet, I do like some non-meat with my meat. I'm also not entirely sure all of the buffet is "cheap stuff" -- there was smoked salmon on it.
