Off to L.A.

Well, the hotel is in Irvine, and the customer is in Tustin -- but that's all L.A. area.
And, once again I'm posting from YOW. Sadly, this flight didn't book very well -- I have to spend 4 hours waiting in O'Hare. Joy. Looks like the flights should, hopefully, go ok, though. At least so far. :) All the Newark and Philadelphia flights out of here are (not surprisingly) cancelled -- but mine still shows on time. And the next leg is central to west, and should be fine.
But, 4 hours in Chicago O'Hare. Ick. And, it means I get in for 8pm, rather than 5:30 or so. Ah well. Such is my life.
But, I've got climbing plans for the next couple weekends -- and that is good. :)

Date: 2011-08-28 03:40 pm (UTC)My last trip through there, I swore I'd never connect via Chicago again. It will be Detroit whenever possible, partly because I always look forward to spending some time in Logan's Run Land.(Of course, not needing to travel for work, I can be picky.)
ETA: Safe travels to you! I need more coffee to banish the negativity that's hanging over me this morning. Cranky because dog decided we needed to get out of bed at 7 am. Grrr.

Date: 2011-08-28 03:43 pm (UTC)The problem with changing in Detroit, is that generally means flying Delta (it was a Northwest hub, and Delta bought Northwest a couple years back). But, most of the connections out of Ottawa are either Air Canada or United -- so I would be accumulating air miles on two different airline families. I end up doing better if I stay with Star alliance, which means connecting through O'Hare (United hub) a lot.
