David is the tired David
Jun. 5th, 2011 09:23 pmClimbed at Chapel Pond Slab in the Adirondacks yesterday -- it is an 800' (240m) cliff. Did two different routes up it, and that was a longish day -- combined with about 3.5 hours driving each way.
Today a milder day of climbing -- up to the Western Cwm in the Gatineau. It felt like a high-gravity day, but I did manage to final get a clean lead on Neruda, something that has been a goal for a little while. I also took a flail at Security -- a 5.10d route -- on top-rope. Got some good moves in, but didn't finish it. A couple my climbing friends want to do Neruda again, so I'm going to have to lead it again (ergh), but can set up Security again on top rope, and make work on it a couple more times.
And, tomorrow, I'm off to Waterloo.

Date: 2011-06-06 02:42 pm (UTC)I just posted about my walk-in clinic visit for the sore throat -- I still have it, it is still mild, and they think it is a mild case of the spring viral/cold infection that is going around and tends to last 4-6 weeks for a lot of people.
