Safely arrived in Bochum
May. 29th, 2011 07:16 amDidn't sleep at all on the flight over, so I am going to desperately try to stay awake past dinner time, then sleep.
Car rental place gave me a bloody SUV. I don't want to be maneuvering something that monstrous through tiny European streets. Gah. It is diesel, standard, has built-in sat-nav, keyless start and other fun stfuff. Ah well. It will do an (indicated) 180 km/h, though. Gotta love doing 180 and not worrying about cops.
European hotel internet access costs -- gah! 5 days for 72 euro. (That's about $100 CDN.) I expected it would be extortionate -- it generally has been in the past. But, it always hurts everytime, anyway. Glad I'm not paying for it.
The room is, as is common for European hotel rooms, small but functional.
It is sunny outside right now, I think I just might go for a walk in the sun. It should help reset my clock.
