I finally got the bike out. Apparently going rock climbing every half-decent weekend day, combined with a lot of work travel delays my getting the motorcycle on the road. But, I finally did so, today. I think this may be my latest spring start ever. Gah.

Yeah.

I'm out climbing... so won't be around. I'll try to remember to park my bike in the driveway, so you can get yours past it.

I think this may actually be the latest SPRING in a long time. I don't know about Ottawa, but in Toronto this spring has been fairly miserable. To the point that I was really excited about yesterday's weather: 14 degrees and mostly sunny.

it's been a pretty chilly spring, with brief periods of getting a bit warmer, than just backing off to chilly again.

I hadn't thought of that -- but, yeah, it has been a pretty miserable spring, hasn't it?

The gliding club is saying this is the latest spring they've had before getting out flying.
First we have to wait for the field to get less mushy, so it will support the weight of the planes without digging deep grooves in it.

Yeah, mushy field -- not so good.

Also, I travel enough nowadays that I don't get a solid feel for what the spring has been like in Ottawa -- I don't know if, maybe, I've missed the "good" days or something.

Can you ride your bike to go climbing?

I have done so in the past -- but if there are 3 of us going, which there has been lately, a motorcycle doesn't work so well.

Also, getting on a bike and riding when your arms & shoulders are twitchy-tired or pumped-out from a long day of climbing isn't always the best idea. :)
