The flight was uneventful -- which is a good thing.

Had an... odd... experience. Drove to the hotel with the air conditioning running in the car, of course, got out of the car, and had my glasses start to fog up. Not what I'm used to. (For me, that's usually a come inside in the winter experience, not a go outside in the summer experience.)

Yeah, I'd guess Charlotte could get pretty humid, too. I'm kinda glad the training I'm doing is, actually, in this hotel -- minimizes my exposure to the out-of-doors. (I'm worried I might melt.)

Thankfully, not very. I'm in (near) Orlando, which is central Florida, the hurricane (Dennis) crossed the panhandle -- north-western Florida -- but didn't come near here. And, there doesn't look to be another one through before I leave, either.

When I was six, my family moved to Florida for about five months. We stayed there from midsummer until the end of December. I remember it being so hot that I would not play outside for long, and stay indoors where there would always be air conditioning. And I remember looking forward to moving back to Canada because there would be more *normal* temperatures.

But hey, that was twenty years ago. Now, there's global warming, so it must be worse.

Well, there do seem to be more storms.

Dunno 'bout that. These past couple of days Toronto's been warmer than most of Florida - yesterday we got up to 35C, today 34C. The only place in Florida that hot today (according to weatherunderground) is Ft. Myers.

Hey David, why don't you bring back some of that rain for us? TIA.
