Houston

I'm now in Houston.

I had a nice visit with Thomas and Stacey in Dallas (really Allen), then yesterday rode down to Austin (really Leander) to visit Robyn, and had a nice visit with her and Don. Then today (well, Friday), rode from Austin in to Houston, found the hotel, and the convention.

It is mighty warm in Texas. Mighty warm. Ok, I'll go so far as to call it hot. In full black leathers, on a running motorcycle, with the sun beating down, stopped waiting in line for a toll booth, it is damn hot.

If I weren't yawning my face off, I'd start trying to think about next weekend.

36-37 degrees. And Houston, on the gulf of Mexico. Hot and humid.

Great to have you down here. Was a good visit with you, and I enjoyed the ride. I did not get to work until around 3pm, oh well.

There is still a chance I might make it up there in the fall, I will see if I am ready for some riding moderate LD riding before snow falls up there. Have a great weekend in Houston and ride safe back home!

Hmmm...I'll have to see if I can spot you today at the con (you are on my friends of friends list -- I'm assuming friend of tygerr but I'm too lazy to check atm). It would probably be easier if I had any idea what you looked like, but heck, challenges are fun. I'm a short, heavy woman with a reddish-brown pony tail and probably wearing some combination of black and blues and quite possibly crocheting on a loud-colored afghan. And I do actually look like my icon, of course. *laugh*

Yep. Once I got a bit of a description from tygerr it became MUCH easier to narrow down who you had to be (the yummy guy at reg, it was). It was nice meeting you and talking to you and very nice NOT seeing you all those lovely times you stayed out of your room so your roommate could have a great time. *grin* Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Hope your trip home goes well!

I'm glad you're having a good time, even if it is a bit warm. It could always be 35 degrees F and raining. (Then again, you can dress warm for that. Overbearing heat is just rough.)

I probably almost had the gear for 35 F and raining -- electrics, layers, rain gear.

I don't have the gear -- fully perforated leather, or mesh, for the really hot.

I'll give Kim a hug for you. ;)
