3100 kms in 3 days
Jun. 22nd, 2005 12:27 amI've arrived in Dallas, and am chez Thomas & Stacey, where they have internet. Yay internet! The first day and a half were slabbing it, distance but boring riding. Then part way through day two, I looked at the country I was slabbing through, and said, this looks like fun country to ride, and picked the next sensible turn off. Wow, it was fun. :) So, 2nd half of day two, and first half of day three were a lot of fun, fun, riding -- then finally the 2nd half of day two was slogging it. But, slogging it in hot (I saw one of those little time/temperature signs reporting 97 degrees, that's 36 Canadian) instead of comfortable temperatures. More detailed report later...

Date: 2005-06-22 08:30 am (UTC)Celsius -> Fahrenheit mental conversion: double, subtract 10%, add 32.
And, the reverse: 97 (fahrenheit)-32 = 65, add about 10% = 72, halve it = 36 celsius.
Either way, it's hot.
