Not often, really. There are two things that need get done during "offline hours", preferably in October, so it's just a question of when I can schedule them vis a vis my being in town, getting a blessing for downtime if it involves system downtime, and sometimes when other people are available if they are involved in the work.
The currently most likely scenario is that I'll be working in the morning and free in the afternoon.
I twas weird - it posted in and showed only two comments (my eaten one and ilanihans), and then when I tried to reload the page it showed only the four comments, and then when I posted this second attempt, it showed normally but claimed there were 6 comments inspite of only displaying 5.
The post looks ok now though (other than having eaten my comment)
Actually, I just got a version of this page that contained just your original comment and ilanikhan's as well. I thought that was a bit odd since the link I clicked said there were 12 comments. So I hit refresh, and after that I can see the correct number of comments, but not your original one (though ilani appears on both). Apparently dagibbs LJ has split personalities or something.
You and metawidget would be quite welcome. My address is 97 Cambridge St North. (That is 1 block west of Bronson, and 1/2 block north of Somerset. It should be a few blocks walking from somewhere that a Quebec-side bus gets to.)
And one of you asked about Settlers or Carcassonne -- I do own both, but they don't often get played anymore. (I used to play a LOT of Settlers, back when it was new -- I first played on an imported German one with translations from the net, and I have never really liked Carcassonne.)
For a listing of what I do own -- I used BGG to record this sort of stuff: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/dagibbs?own=1&subtype=boardgame&ff=1

Date: 2009-10-06 03:28 pm (UTC)How often do you end up working weekends? What triggers this to need to happen, or is it just a regularly scheduled part of your job?

Not often really, it's an as needed thing for stuff that needs to get done outside of business hours.
Currently it's most likely that I'll be working in the morning and free for gaming in the afternoon.
