Wasn't that a party

Yes, it was a busy weekend. (At least, by my standards.)


Thursday night, dinner with parents.
Friday, dinner with Lorayne and Sofian. [edit: I now kow how to spell his name, thanks to iclysdale.]
Saturday, get up and ride to Toronto, where purplesofa fed me and foms and con_girl some good food and really good soup.

Then, off to mycrazyhair's party. Party!

Could've been the whiskey,
Might've been the gin,
Could've been the 3 or 4 Chocolate-Raspberry Martinis
I don't know.
But, wasn't that a party?

Those were GOOD. And, wonderful people, and good conversation, and, I think, a nicely warmed house. It is a lovely place, with beautiful entertaining space. And the matching, solidly built, beds were nice. (And, was actually about
4 and 1/2 Martinis. But, thankfully, no hangover. :)

Then, back home one Sunday. The riding, both ways, was quite lovely. My trip to Toronto for Ad Astra, I did freeway the whole way -- 416 & 401. Coming home, I took highway 15 through Smith Falls, still highway, but not 4-lane divided. For the trip to and from Toronto last weekend, I took old Perth road (County road 10), which has some moderately twisty bits on it. Was nice, and I could feel some of the rust had been knocked off by the end of the twisties on the way home -- I was smoother and faster on the way home than I was on the way down. This happens most springs, after the several months of not riding, but it was nice to feel it happening.

Then took leolac out for dinner, cause she is done DONE her university degree. Had a nice meal at The Roses Cafe, tried a two-player game of San Juan, but I don't think it works really well two-player, and talked for much of the evening. A really good end to a wonderful weekend. Too bad they have to end.

And, then back to work today, where I'm teaching the rest of this week. Well, until Thursday, that is, when I'm off again.

Thursday after work, I head back to Toronto, pick up the toiletries I accidentally forgotten chez purplesofa, and then overnight chez mycrazyhair. Then, on to KW for breakfast with corbet and maybe whynotsteve. How about the place we went last time, on the northwest corner of King & Erb, in Waterloo, corbet? (The food was good, and the couches were nice and comfy.) Then westwards to Penguicon.

Hey, wanna do breakfast in TO? It turns out I may have plans there on Thursday, so I can either boot back to KW and we can eat there Friday, or we can expand our food options and enjoy TO's culinary diversity. I know two places that have crepes. Mmmmmmm, crepes! :)

We could breakfast in TO on Friday -- might need to be a bit earier, though, as I won't have the 1-hour drive already done. Crepes are good.

Of course, this may throw off plans with whynotsteve, not that we know where he's going to be, anyway.

Hm... are you going to want a lift back to KW after breakfast?
