Gaming good

Had a good crowd for gaming today and played several games.

Attendees included: me, donnav, ironphoenix, jagash & Eve, beable, notsoholygrail, Stephen (friend of xiphia), and xiphia. I don't think I've forgotten anyone.

I played Tikal (me), Vineta (me), Ys (jagash), Metro (notsoholygrail), and Taj Mahal (xiphia). I know that Caylus got played in parallel to Ys.

Apparently xiphia is most dangerous when tired, and just playing, "look at all the pretty colours." ;)

Both Eve and myself had a great time. I think I shall drag her over to some of the game days in the future if people don't mind.

I certainly would have no objection!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and that she did too. She will definitely be welcome at further gaming events.

It was indeed fun; thanks again for hosting, and for handling the math trade stuff for me!

You're quite welcome. Vineta was a fun game.

Cartainly I should no longer get to claim "I'm too sleepy" as a reason to blow off gaming. heh Fun times!

I believe xiphia also rather handily whipped our butts in Caylus.

In that case, she did have a good night. Sleepy xiphia is dangerous xiphia. Got it.

[identity profile] xiphia.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Especially dangerous since I don't actually *remember* playing Caylus that night. While I'd love to claim credit, I believe Caylus was someone else, and I won Taj Mahal. Unless I was sleepy enough to miss an entire game. Possible, but unlikely I suspect. :)

You're right. It was beable that did for them.

[identity profile] dagibbs.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm.. as she said, couldn't have. Caylus was before dinner, she arrived after dinner.

I think it was beable that whipped your butts.

One day, I will be able to figure out who is who. Gah. It's not even that they look alike!

My sincere apologies to both!

...note that xiphia would be able to whip my butt at Caylus too.

...okay, everyone could whip my butt at, well, everything. Looking up from Last Place, it all starts to blur together... :)

Is it just me or did this thread just grow some innuendo? I am torn between any number of mischief-making replies, but since I'm at work, I think I'm just going to walk away smirking. :p

[identity profile] dagibbs.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Repeat with me... "It's not the kind of party". :)

[identity profile] xiphia.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm... should I repeat the phrase you *wrote* or the phrase you *meant*? :p

[identity profile] dagibbs.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
whichever you wish...

"it's not the kind of party" where we do that sort of stuff...
or
"it's not that kind of party". :)

*bows*

Obviously you don't know me. I can't do innuendo. I usually can't even recognise innuendo, if applied at me. (I have many stories of clues that didn't work on me.) So no, it was quite innocent.

Mind you, I should remember that just about no one else in this gaming group is innocent, and check my use of slang and expressions. :)

[identity profile] xiphia.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Hey now, I am innocent of many things! Just not any of the good ones. :)

Correction duly noted.
