Travelling to Toronto (for Ad Astra)

Since it seems nobody in Ottawa wants to travel to Toronto with me for Ad Astra this coming weekend, and since the weather looks to be good (as long as Thursday's rain sticks to Thursday, rather than slipping over to Friday), it looks like I'll be riding the motorcycle down. It may be a bit chilly, though.

foms and con_girl are renting a car and driving down from Ottawa. They'll be arriving earlier/staying longer than me, so not travelling with me, but are willing to transport some books for me. Well, they say it's ok as long as the rear of the car doesn't noticeably sink under the load of books. I think the list I've selected is within that criteria. That's the plan, at least.

Um...you don't have a banker's box of books for me, in addition to the books carynb has for me, do you?

Sadly, no. I was just helping carynb pack, and I saw your books. And then I pictured you trying to balance them somehow on a motorcycle. The vision did not include much speed. *g*

mycrazyhair asked my question for me, but I thought I might mention that I've got 3 boxes of SFBC editions that have been in storage for 3 years that I'm bringing along to give to anyone who wants them. I have no idea what's in them anymore, since they've been in boxes for so long, but you might be able to pick up a few more books than you thought. Assuming there's room for them in the car for the trip home, of course. *g*

I don't say those books are in those boxes, but you would certainly want to *CHECK*.
