Gaming Report
Apr. 4th, 2005 10:14 amI missed my usual post-mortem of games played from my party report...
ragnhildr arrived close to the time of "gaming start", but apparently well before anyone else. We talked for a while, then decided to give up waiting on the rest of the people to arrive before starting, and played two games of Carcassone just the two of us. Finally, others arrived. We played Die Siedlers von Catan, where
ragnhildr combined first game luck with experienced advice from
beable for a win. While we were playing a second game of Settlers of Catan formed, and I think
pezchica came away with the victory, or at least, she walked past with the butt-wiggle of victory. Another game of Settlers formed, but I don't know who won. My table started a game of Puerto Rico which
ragnhildr stole from me on the tie-break, and then one more game of Puerto Rico where I narrowly beat
ragnhildr in the victory points for a win. Gaming was, then, wrapped up as the potluck was in full swing by this time. (I was kind of distracted on the last game by hosting duties.)
The first game of Puerto Rico ended on settlers running out, the second game ended on a full city (mine), and is the first time I've had a game end that way.

Date: 2005-04-04 08:13 am (UTC)It was cool to have enough people to have two tables going, though I'll
have to figure out a better table for the second table of gaming -- probably the table I used for food, I think, so there's more space.
Of course, I'm out of town the next three weekends... hm... looks like Sunday April 24th will be next potluck, and I will be out of town. The weekend of April 30th/May 1st is looking good, though.
it was me!

Date: 2005-04-04 06:52 pm (UTC)Playing Settlers from my kibbitzing angle was much more fun then I had expected ;-)
If the next one is on a Saturday and I'm not working (heavy sigh) I'd be prone to show up for longer. I tend to have gaming on Sundays already, I'm in a D&D game which is still working out well.
