But, still, the main floor is, slowly, starting to look like habitable (and visitable) space, rather than a complete and total disaster area. This is a good thing. I'm going to be descended upon by small hordes of people tomorrow.

Nope, small hordes, not hordes of small. As far as I know, no small people coming at all. Well, I guess it is relative -- compared to, say, ansfrid, many if not most of the people would probably be considered small. But, I don't think you need worry about feeling giant-like. :)

It's ENGLISH, people. In the case of adjective noun, the adjective modifies the immediately following noun.

How many people does it require to form a horde? Is this number different when you are discussing small hordes? Once the people all descend upon you, is it still possible to distinguish the discrete small hordes, or do they automatically form one medium-sized horde?
