Finally got the bike out

Yes, I finally got my bike out. Went for a quick spin this evening -- out the Ottawa River Parkway, then back by way of the 417.

It is late. There've been a few reasons -- bad weather while I've been in town, lack of a dealer I'm happy to take it to for spring tuneup, and a lot of inertia about getting anything done, including taking the bike out. But, it is good to take it out.

So, if you're interested in going out for a spin with me, let me know.

Well, I have plans to make it down to North Carolina this year, by bike. I'm thinking if I stop for a night in Boston (would you have room for an itinerant biker?), I could take you out for a spin...

Cottage party is a no-go, alas - too much going on here that weekend. But if you're driving through, I'd love to have you stop by. And you're definitely welcome to our guest room, as long as you're not allergic to cats....

Too bad for the cottage party. Hm... what about Worldcon in Montreal... that's close, and I'll probably have my bike around for that, too. :)

I am allergic to cats, but that is what anti-histamines are for. Drugs are my friend. :)

Historically, I've tended towards evening rides -- I'll be interested in a ride, and I'll call people and say, "hey, do you want to go for a spin?". But, I don't think I have a phone number for you.

I always wanted to ride a motorbike and after this week ends I will deserve an "I survived the semester" treat. ;)

I should catch up on sleep before doing anything demanding balance and motor skills though.
