Next climbing trip - the Swiss Alps

Tickets booked. (It is amazing how a "free" flight with points actually costs so much in "fees". Still, it comes out reasonably cheap for a flight to Switzerland.)

Leaving July 18th, returning August 5th. I'm flying from Montreal -- the flight choices were a lot better from there.

So...anyone know where I can stash a car in Montreal for about 3 weeks?

I fly home on the 5th, my hotel booking for Worldcon starts on the 6th. I don't know if I'm going to want to come for the night, and back again (laundry???) or just find somewhere to crash that evening.

Now, I just have to join the Austrian Alpine association. (Rescue insurance, and discounts for staying at climbing huts.)

What about taking a bus or train to Montreal?

Bus is the back-up option. But if I'm trying to get enough stuff for a 2.5 week climbing trip and then for a worldcon -- that's a LOT of stuff to haul on the bus. And, I'd need somewhere to store the Worldcon stuff. (The bus does, though, conveneniently go to the airport on the way in to Montreal.)

Bunsen_h and I will be in Montreal from Aug 4th to the end of Worldcon.

I will be in Montreal from Aug 4th to the end of Worldcon. I believe bunsen_h also will be, or he may be coming up the 5th.

I can ask him on Saturday if he minds a crasher for 1 night if you like.

I already need to find out if he minds the addition of an Ambiviolent to the room, but she would certainly not be going up early.
