Today was a training day, here in Ottawa, the start of a two week stint with a local customer. As part of my introduction, I generally talk about my background a bit, and I mentioned that I'd been with QNX for 16 or 17 years. Of them quipped back, "what, did they here you when you were 5 years old?" They all shook their heads in disbelief when I mentioned I was, actually, 41. I guess even business dress-up doesn't make me look old. (Nor, apparently, does the silver in my hair.)

I'm not actually in a suit -- I don't dress up that much. I'm teaching programmers -- they wouldn't listen if I was in a suit. :)

I'm in slacks and a button-up shirt, rather than jeans and a t-shirt.

I'm sure I've seen you outside, with the sun out. So, that leaves fae. I don't remember your ears being pointy -- but that could just be glamour. :)

people see what they expect to see. you don't need glamour for that. and pointed ears needn't be particularly big.
