Arrived in Indianapolis

dagibbsWe got out late from Ottawa -- the plane from Detroit was quite delayed. I barely made my plane in Detroit (got to the gate about 10 minutes before official departure time). I had feared missing luggage, but it made it successfully.
I continue to think that Northwest's luggage operation in Detroit are pretty sharp. When arriving, my luggage is generally on the carousel before I get to the carousel, and when connecting, even on a tight one like today, the luggage seems to make it through. And, I went between terminals today, too.
I also changed my hotel bookings. Generally when I have an early flight out (like 8am Friday) I'll get a hotel near the airport for the Thursday night. So, that's how this visit is booked. But, that "near the airport" hotel is all of two hotels over from my current hotel. So, I said why bother changing hotels for one night, for no savings in drive time? I'll just extend my stay here for one more night.
