Ever have a moment of frission where you find yourself thinking blue is bad, before you click in and remember that the USian conservatives are red, not blue? It's an oddity that in the UK and Canada the conservatives are associated with the colour blue, but in the US it's red.

Especially since the US has a long and storied history of right-wing fear/hatred of Communists. I actually get an evil thrill out of the right-wingers being "Red". *eg*

The Blue Ribbon in the US is first place.

In Canada and I assume UK, it's red.
