nice wedding

gabriel_le and I went to kattale and moria73's wedding last night. It was lovely, a nice mixture of traditions with some lovely bits of humour thrown in. How often does a wedding ceremony have a "I will not" thrown in for good measure?

And, they both looked just lovely. They had matching purple get-ups that were all lovely and fancy and romantic looking. The dinner was good, the desserts too. And, the entertainment -- dancing around the campfire to live music from Dave Anthony, then learning a couple of SCA dances (Black Nag and something else) from ansfrid and buttongirl was great too. Was good to see a few friends out there as well, and see again a few people I've only really met at kattale's waffle parties.

We camped out at gabriel_le's request -- she likes camping and I'm not a huge fan. But the equipment we borrowed from iclysdale and commodorified made it quite comfortable. (Your tent is spread out in my garage drying right now.)

Also, friday night a few people dropped over for some social time and gaming. We played Leonardo Da Vinci, and once again I failed to win. Last time I taught it, con_girl one. This time another newbie, ilanikhan won, much to her surprise. Congrats to both of them.

More gaming needs to happen soon. Maybe next weekend.

I'd be open to Friday night gaming or Saturday afternoon gaming. I'm engaged elsewhere Sunday.

I'm thinking that maybe the starting positions aren't all that equal actually. Really, really. I can only remember one other time I've won a game at one of your game days - and you were at a different table...

They may (or may not) be equal -- hard to say. By the "buy your own start" rules, all the starting positions are equal cost. I know there are some setups I would prefer over others.
