Climbing at Calabogie

Went out to Calabogie area with scubajim to climb. Cliff wasn't hard to find, though it was handy to have someone along who had climbed before. Generally about 15-20m high, so all single pitch, accessible top, so easily top-ropable. And long. Lots and lots of climbs. I think my print out listed some 48 climbs along the length -- and that is without packing them in closely. The rock had a tendency towards slab and/or over-hang, not a lot of just vertical stuff. There are some huge boulders along the bottom of the cliff. The hike in is pretty easy, too. The only disadvantages as compared to the Eardley Escarpment (Gatineau park) is the longer drive and lots of bugs in the early season. It overlooks a swampy. Oh yeah, also not the gorgeous views from the top.

have you even done multi-pitch climbs?

Nope, I've not done anything multi-pitch, so single-pitch is a good thing for me.

I understand the basics in theory, but have never done it in practice. Also, most multi-pitch stuff is trad, rather than sport.
