yay for climbing!

dagibbsI did manage to get out climbing today! I got up way too early (around 7:30 - my last two Sunday mornings have NOT been good for sleeping in, both have been earlier than 8am), got my stuff together and then headed out to meet some other people at the Parkdale government buildings parking lot near the parkway, only to find that my left-rear tire was flat. I quickly changed it, and arrived about 5 minutes late, hoping they hadn't left without me. Luckily the prime organiser wasn't there yet, so I wasn't late. Unfortunately, he didn't arrive for another 20 minutes or so, and I could have gotten a bit more sleep.
We went up to Home Cliff, which I've climbed before, and did only routes in the main corner (mostly easy), but that was ok. I got to follow several routes and look at the gear placements and to play with setting some gear. It was a gorgeous day for climbing, too. No bugs (of the biting kind), near perfect temperature (just under 20 degrees C) and sunny. I did put on some sun screen, and I think I managed to avoid getting burnt.
