gaming last night

gabriel_le was feeling lonely, so she invited a few people over for gaming last night, short notice, and starting at 8:30 when she finished her last piano lesson of the evening.
foms, ilanikhan and con_girl arrived early, so we started with Ricochet Robots, which was joined by ansfrid and gabriel_le as they arrived. It ended in a tie between foms and me.
Then, by gabriel_le's request, we pulled out and played a quick game of Bananagrams -- though ilanikhan and ansfrid chose to sit out. I won, though con_girl finished just behind me.
After that was the "what game should we play game", with con_girl choosing to sit out from the next game. Santiago won, and the 5 of us sat down to play. Just as we were starting ironphoenix called to ask if gaming was going on, and we said yes, but we'd just started. gabriel_le and I declared that we'd be up for another game, after Santiago, so he wandered over. ansfrid won the game of Santiago, pipping me by 2 escudos. After this game, most of the gang left, leaving just three of us.
ironphoenix arrived with three games that were new to him, from his most recent bulk purchase at Fandom II. He had Brass, Niagara, and Kingsburg. While I want to play Brass, we decided that would run too late and pulled out Kingsburg instead. All three of us finished quite close, but ironphoenix and I tied for the win, even after both tie-breaks.
It was quite a pleasant evening of gaming. Yay for my sweetie!
